The sculpture interprets the relationship between needle and thread. The arched and hollow form of the upper parts relates to the shape of the needle, and the horizontal column that passes through the hole symbolises the action of threading a needle. Various details can be discovered by viewing the sculpture from different perspectives.

Inspiration
Inspired by Isamu Noguchi, a sculptor that I deeply admired. He merged geometric and organic forms and found value in both positive and negative space. Fascinated by the pureness, boldness, and surrealism of his works, I assimilated influences from his thought and aesthetics of form into my work.
